Terms & Conditions (T&Cs)
These Terms and Conditions outline the agreement between you and Tots and Tails - Brighton, operated by Stephanie Hewitt, sole trader. By booking or using our childcare or pet care services, you agree to these Terms.
Bookings & Payments
- All booking must be made in advance by phone, email, or website enquiry form.
- Hourly rates and package prices are outlined on our website or agreed in writing before services begin.
- Prices are provided as a guide only and may be updated at any time. Each family’s situation is unique and requires a personalised quote for every booking. Final rates will always be confirmed and agreed before services commence.
- Payments are due at the end of each session.
- Deposits may be required for wedding chaperone or block bookings.
- Late payments may incur a fee of £10 per week overdue.
Cancellations & Refunds
- Free cancellation with at least 24 hours’ notice before the booking start time.
- Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged 50% of the booked hours.
- Same-day cancellations or no-shows may be charged in full at my discretion, depending on the circumstances.
- Wedding chaperone services: require 7 days notice for cancellation. Deposits are non-refundable.
- If we must cancel due to illness or emergency, we will notify you as soon as possible and no fees will apply.
Responsibilities of Tots and Tails Brighton
We agree to:
- Provide professional, safe, and reliable childcare and pet care services.
- Act with care and diligence at all times.
- Follow safeguarding, welfare, and insurance requirements.
- Keep accurate records in line with legal obligations.
- Maintain appropriate public liability insurance.
Responsibilities of Clients
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and up-to-date information about your child/pet (including medical, allergy, and behavioural details).
- Supply all necessary equipment for your child/pet's care (e.g. food, nappies, leads, harness, medication).
- Ensure pets are up to date with vaccinations and microchipped as required by law.
- Be on time for handovers and collections.
- Pay fees promptly in line with the agreed payment terms.
Safeguarding & Welfare
- Children will be cared for in accordance with Ofsted standards and safeguarding best practice.
- Pets will be cared for in line with the Animal Welfare Act 2006.
- Medical or emergency care will be sought if necessary, and you will be contacted immediately.
Liability
- We hold public liability insurance to cover the services we provide.
- We cannot be held responsible for accidents, illness, or injury, arising from withheld or incorrect information provided by the client.
- We are not liable for damage caused by pets to property or belongings while in our care.
- Clients remain responsible for providing suitable insurance for their own property, pets, or belongings.
Termination of Services
We reserve the right to withdraw services immediately if:
- Inaccurate or false information has been provided.
- Unsafe, abusive, or inappropriate behaviour occurs.
- Payment is repeatedly withheld or delayed.
Data Protection
- We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
- Personal Information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is available on our website.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
